September 5th the final exhibition of the Fifth National Competition " Artists of Russia vote for clean water " was opened in Sochi Art Museum. The organizer and inspirer of the competition for all these years has been JSC "Evraziskiy " as one of the largest private operators of water supply and sanitation Russia with the support of the Russian Academy of Arts and the Sochi Art Museum.
"SochiVodokanal " of the holding , headed by JSC "Evraziyskiy " took active participation in the preparation and conduct of the contest. The current contest "Artists of Russia vote for clean water " is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the "Evraziyskiy ". Moreover, the final exhibition of the Fifth National Competition " Artists of Russia vote for clean water " opened September 5th is the day of the celebration of the 20th anniversary of "Evraziyskiy ".
For five years the project "Artists of Russia vote for clean water " has gathered more than 1,300 paintings and sculptures , it was attended by about a thousand artists and sculptors from 30 cities all over Russia. In 2013 the exhibition-competition "Artists of Russia vote for clean water" was included in the program of the Museum Year of Cultural Olympiad "Sochi- 2014".
The task of the project was not just propaganda for protection of water resources, but also the support of culture and art in the presence of the company's business . Painters, sculptors, graphic artists offer their works for the first phase of the virtual competition, and then for the final exhibition . There is only one condition - the content of these works should be the theme of water in all its forms.
In 2014 over 500 works were sent just at the preliminary stage of the competition. With the voting results announced on the website of "Evraziskiy " for the final exhibition 150 paintings and sculptures were selected. The competition was attended by artists from Rostov-on -Don, Krasnodar, Moscow , Sochi, Krasnoyarsk, Volgograd other Russian cities. This year the Crimea has been widely presented for the first time of the contest as well as works by artists from Sevastopol , Kerch, Yalta.
Traditionally children works were to complement those by emerging artists. The public may observe the works of pupils of children 's art schools in the city of Sochi.
The jury awarded the first prize to the artist Alexander Otroshko for work " Lake Abrau "
The second place was given to Nikolay Dudchenko from Sevastopol for his work " Noon at Balaklava "
Boris Medvedev from Sochi got the third prize with his work " And for clean beaches ."
The recognition prize from "Evraziyskiy " was given to the triptych "Element " by a Sochi young artist Olga Kovaleva - Konovtseva . Her work has received the maximum number of votes in the virtual voting on the website of "Evraziyskiy ".
Special congratulating prize on the 20th anniversary of "Evraziyskiy " and the fifth anniversary of the exhibition "Artists of Russia vote for clean water " was handed in to Tamara Magdalene (Moscow) for work " Clean Water" .
An uncanny musical band filled the opening ceremony with the special environment - it was a string quartet named after Rachmaninov.
- I am sure that the submitted work will make the audience not only enjoy the beauty of nature in the nature of the aquatic environment , but also think about the future of each of us , the quality of human life on earth, environmental issues - says Stanislav Svetlitskiy , General Director of JSC "Evraziyskiy".
Exhibition of winners of the Fifth National Competition " Artists of Russia vote for clean water " will work in the halls of the Sochi Art Museum until the end of September.
